Il s'agit de l'adaptation en anime du jeu vidéo Ryza no Atelier : Tokoyami no Joô to Himitsu no Kakurega. L'histoire de cet anime se focalise en partie sur celle du jeu et aborde les prémices des aventures de Ryza, Lent et Tao.
Reisalin Stout, communément appelée Ryza par ses amis intimes, est une adolescente particulièrement joviale et pétillante qui vit sur l'île de Kurken avec ses amis, Tao et Lent. Avec ces derniers, Ryza a déjà fait les quatre cent coups mais, aujourd'hui, le trio infernal ne veut plus se contenter d'arpenter les sentiers de l'île Kurken. En effet, Ryza, Tao et Lent ont pour ambition de parcourir le monde et devenir des explorateurs aguerris.
